Snake and turtle

On Sunday we caught a snake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first saw this guy hiding in some bricks when I was mowing our lawn one day. Than on Sunday we went out to catch him and there he was, wedged in the bricks. After a little time (and moving bricks), we caught him!!!!!!! After some research, I found out that is was a lined snake, a snake that rarely bites. But we had to let it go.

One of our friends in Minnesota found this guy digging a hole in their front yard. They are hoping that it is going to lay eggs in their yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are pretty sure that is is a painted turtle. They are thinking about digging up the eggs and incubating them, so I will keep you updated on any info or pictures. (Thanks for the pictures Dana!)
